Founded by owner and designer Nita Pilago, Wahine Toa Designs was created from a lifelong dream rooted in creativity, culture, and family. Nita began sewing at a very young age, crafting clothing for her husband, sons, friends, and moʻopuna over the years.
After launching a manufacturing company in Indonesia, the business grew into a true family effort, with each family member contributing to all aspects of the company. The clothing features original artwork created by Nita, her husband Angel, and their two sons, Kaleo and Che.
Together, their artwork reflects personal experiences, life lessons, and the unique artistic styles of each creator. Nita especially enjoys collaborating with her family, blending their individual perspectives into meaningful and wearable designs.
