About me
Paula De Morales is a retired Hawaiʻi Department of Education (HIDOE) educator who taught Hawaiian language, culture, and history in Kohala, Hilo, and at Waiākea High School for more than 30 years. Her passion is sharing and facilitating Hawaiian cultural education for all who wish to learn.
During high school and college, she worked at the Bishop Museum in the recording room, library, and within the Archaeology, Anthropology, and Ethnography departments. She was also fortunate to learn from many of Hawaiʻi’s respected scholars and cultural leaders, including Mary Kawena Pukui, Eleanor Williamson, Margaret Titcomb, Dr. Kenneth Emory, Dr. Yoshi Sinoto, Dr. Terry Barrow, and Dr. Roland Force.
